My name is Hayley, my age is 28 and I have a passion for
making people look and feel great, not only through providing
a professional and friendly service but also through art!
I call it art because creating and sculpting different hairstyles
and make-up is a form or art that takes not only knowledge,
experience and patience but also creative skills!
Growing up, I loved painting my mums walls with lipstick at 18 months, now I love painting people! I started working for my Dad's 'Children's Entertainment' Business at 16, providing face painting for children's Birthday Parties, which I still do today.
Leaving school in 2006 I went to Bedford college where I studied NVQ Level 2 combined Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy. During my training I worked at two salons, 'Scissom' and 'Zoe's'. I then took a few years out to look after my little boy, whilst keeping up my skills working from home. September 2016 I returned to college to develop my knowledge and skills further and studied my NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Hairdressing. During my course I started working in a salon 'Paula Stevens' where I became a valued member of the team. As part of my Level 3, I took part in the 2017 Inspire hairdressing photography competition, sponsored by Errol Douglas, where I came runner up in the Avant Garde category. This was a massive achievement and I loved every minute of it (I get very competitive)! It was then, I discovered my passion for Avant Garde and more excentric catwalk work!
During my last couple of months at College, I became interested in Theatrical work, this was inspired by sons love and passion for the performing arts and helping out with hair and make-up backstage. I have enjoyed every minute of the Theatrical work and loved creating hair and make-up for A Blast From The Past for PWA, Tango Del Corazon for City Academy at Sadler's Well's Theatre and most recently Oliver at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
In October 2017 I am starting HE, with my HNC in Performing Arts, Specialist Theatrical Make-up, following on to my HND in Performing arts, Specialist Theatrical make-up. I will be studying the following Industries: TV, Film, Theatre, Photography, Fashion, Media and Beauty.
